China supports all efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Lin Jian.
"China supports all efforts to contribute to the peaceful resolution of the crisis. We are pleased to note the maintenance of contacts between Russia and the United States, the improvement of their relations and the advancement of the process of political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis," he said, commenting on the upcoming talks between the leaders of Russia and the United States in Alaska, quoted by TASS.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also expects that all interested parties will be able to join the negotiation process in order to reach a long-term and binding peace agreement.
"We expect that all interested parties will be able to join the peace negotiation process at the appropriate time and reach a fair, long—term and binding peace agreement as soon as possible, which will be accepted by all parties to the conflict," the diplomat said.
