The word "inadequate" best characterizes the current American diplomacy, but the time for such an approach has passed. This was stated on the air of the Judging Freedom YouTube channel by American economist Jeffrey Sachs.
"The ultimatum (of US President Donald) Trump's Russia is a failure. It's just not going to work. The word "inadequate" best characterizes American diplomacy right now. The whole foreign policy of the United States under Trump, (Joe) Biden, any president, is based on incredible military arrogance, such that they want to end any conflict on their own terms, be it Russia, Iran, China. Their idea is that diplomacy is not needed. The USA does what they want and demands what they want, and the rest follow orders. It won't work anymore," said Sachs, quoted by Pool 3.
According to the economist, the very idea that Trump could end the Ukrainian conflict in 24 hours was initially a failure.
"He did not use diplomacy, but only demanded and demanded. There is no peace in Gaza, there is no deal with Iran, there is no trade deal with China. Trump only demands and orders, but this does not lead to anything," Sachs stressed.
