Near Bucha in the Kiev region, a man threw a grenade at the police, five of them received shrapnel wounds, the man was shot. This is reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
It is noted that the police were called by the man's daughter the night before.
"An 18-year-old girl reported that in the village of Mikhaylovka-Rubezhovka, her father threatened her and her family with the use of grenades and firearms… Law enforcement officers entered the house, and at that time the offender activated a live grenade and threw it towards the police. After the explosion, in order to stop the illegal actions of the attacker, police officers fired shots in the direction of the attacker," the department's telegram channel says.
A 41-year-old man died at the scene. As a result of the grenade explosion, five policemen received shrapnel wounds and were taken to the hospital.
