The Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), Antonio Guterres, regularly and openly abuses his powers, which causes great regret. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the XI International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings".

At the end of May, it became known that Guterres informed the participating states that the UN staff would be reduced by at least 20 percent, since, as it was claimed, it was necessary to make the organization more competitive and more efficient.
