President Masoud Peseshkian congratulated the Iranians on their historic victory over Israel. This is reported by the local information agency Fars.
"Today, after a courageous resistance... we are witnessing a ceasefire and a 12-day war that was imposed on the Iranian people by the adventurism and arson of the Zionist regime. During this period, the world watched the authority of the great Iran, which enjoyed the support of its people, and although the beginning of this imposed war was a terrorist enemy, its end was marked by the will and authority of the great people of Iran. Today, in a situation where the enemy aggressor agreed to stop fomenting war, he suffered a severe and historic punishment," Peseshkian said.
According to him, Israel "failed to achieve its sinister goals, which were the destruction of nuclear facilities, the decline of nuclear knowledge and social upheaval." Meanwhile, the "destruction of important facilities and centers" in Israel "sent an important signal to the world that the price of adventurism against the great country of Iran is very high."
"All the pride in this historic victory is dedicated to the great people and the building of civilization, and if the insidious enemy had paid more attention to the past and his identity, he would never have made such a mistake," the Iranian president said.
Iranians are now celebrating the victory over Israel — thousands of people came to the central Revolution Square in Tehran with flags and portraits of commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. They chanted slogans in support of the army and the national resistance.
As reported by EADaily, Congressman Buddy Carter nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for ending the 12-day Iran-Israel war. This was reported by Fox News channel.
