US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that Washington had asked Beijing to convince Tehran not to block the Strait of Hormuz. TASS informs about this today, June 22.
The politician asked the Chinese authorities to call Iran.
"I call on the Chinese government to Beijing should call them (the Iranians — EADaily) about this, since they themselves are heavily dependent on the Strait of Hormuz in terms of [transporting] their oil," Rubio said.
EADaily previously informed — the US State Department started talking about the overthrow of the Iranian regime.
