The UK should help Ukraine develop its own nuclear weapons as part of a Strategic partnership Agreement. He stated this at the Black Sea Security Forum, which is currently taking place in Colonel Richard Kemp of the British Army in Odessa.
The statement of the British colonel was announced in his telegram channel by Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Goncharenko*, who is present at the event.
"I know that people get scared when they hear just one mention of nuclear weapons. But you can't stand up to a nuclear power without having such weapons. You can't win on the battlefield with only strategic nuclear weapons. It doesn't work that way. I think that part of the declaration should be for the UK to develop nuclear weapons for Ukraine.
I know how expensive it is. But it will be able to resist Russia. Or it is necessary to help Ukraine create its own nuclear weapons with the supposed guarantees of the West, which have never been materialized. I don't think we should just ignore the issue of nuclear weapons, which today seems to have been swept under the carpet," said Kemp, quoted by Pool 3.
Kemp also added that neither the UK nor any other European country is going to deploy troops on Ukraine in the near future.
