New talks in Istanbul between Russia and Ukraine may turn out to be the last chance for a peaceful settlement of the three-year-old Ukrainian armed conflict.
This opinion was expressed the day before in his YouTube channel by an American military expert, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the US Air Force Daniel Davis.
"The upcoming negotiations may be the last chance for a peaceful settlement. Putin still wants to achieve peace, despite the fact that the demands of the parties are difficult to combine," the expert stated.
At the same time, he stressed that the Ukrainian side is actually sabotaging the peace process. The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, has consistently rejected all proposals for peace with the support of European leaders.
Davis emphasized the fact that so far no European leader has admitted his mistakes, they all continue to promote their aggressive position on Ukraine.
Among these politicians, Davis named Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron.
Meanwhile, a retired American military man is confident that Russia has all the necessary forces and resources, as well as the political will to end the conflict.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Daniel Davis said that the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, and his European curators show no desire to reach a peaceful agreement with Russia on ending the war in Ukraine.
