Retired Major General, and now director of the Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw, Bohuslav Pacek, admitted that Russia's "increasingly modern army."
A Polish high-ranking military officer in an interview with Interia talked about the fate of Europe.
"Today Europe is facing a truly epochal choice. In 20-30 years, Europe will either be a collection of medium—sized countries, dominated primarily by Asia, or we will be like one strong fist that can adequately defend itself against external attacks," Pachek said.
The retired general paid compliments to Russia:
"The faces of this war are very different. First of all, we have a Russian-Ukrainian war. Very bloody. In fact, this also applies to European countries, the USA, Canada and Japan. Secondly, the psychological and information war has been going on since February 2021. Various countries are taking part in this war, but first of all the Russian Federation, which is waging [an information war] using modern technologies, Internet trolls, diplomacy and non-governmental organizations. Thirdly, we are dealing with a trade war that is being waged primarily between the United States and China, but the countries of the European Union are also involved in it. Whether we like it or not, our wallets feel it."
During the interview, Pachek was once again impressed by Russia, saying:
"[Russia's] military rhetoric, as I have already said, is the result of real observations, because Russia is arming itself, it has an increasingly modern army, it draws conclusions from defeats and military experience, perhaps faster than Ukraine."
Answering a journalist's question about when Europe will really be in danger, Bohuslav Pachek made the following forecast:
"The US and Japan could be involved in a military conflict with China if it attacks Taiwan. And this will be the only moment when Europe, weakened by the lack of support from the United States, will really be in danger. And Vladimir Putin knows this very well."
