Territorial concessions from Kiev can only be a temporary solution to the problem. This was stated by the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.
According to him, if Russia comes out of the conflict stronger, problems similar to today's will remain.
"A compromise is necessary to achieve peace. However, compromise should not be the fulfillment of an ultimatum for Ukraine and the reward of the aggressor. Therefore, when the United States came up with the slogan "Peace through strength," I considered it a procedure that could lead to a goal," he said.
At the same time, he believes that on Ukraine is under much more pressure than on Russia.
Recall, the Czech Republic condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine and strongly supports Kiev.
