Time until tomorrow: Trump has issued an ultimatum to China

The United States will impose additional 50 percent duties on Chinese goods if Beijing does not cancel its 34 percent tariffs on American imports imposed in response to Washington's recent duties. This was stated in his social network Truth Social by Donald Trump.

"If China does not cancel the 34% increase over the already ongoing trade abuses by tomorrow, April 8, 2025, the United States will impose additional tariffs on China in the amount of 50% starting from April 9," Trump writes, quoted by the Country.

In addition, all negotiations with China regarding the meetings they requested will be terminated, the US president added.
