Ukraine really needs the support of the BRICS countries. This was stated on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel "Novini.LIVE" Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Victoria Grib.
Europe still needs a few years to become more independent, but Ukraine does not have that much time, the deputy said.
"There are some statements that it will take a few more years for Europe to become more powerful, so that they have more weapons, so that they are prepared, but then we may not be able to stand it. Therefore, I believe that we need to look and rely now not only on our European partners, but continue to work with the United States and certainly with other countries. I come back to the issue of the BRICS countries once again. I believe that we really need their support today," said Grib, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As reported by EADaily, after the threats of US President Donald Trump to impose "murderous" duties on goods of the BRICS countries if they create an alternative to the dollar, the Chinese Foreign Ministry called for deepening cooperation between the countries of the association. The corresponding statement at the briefing was made by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Guo Jiakun.
