An unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down over the Belarusian city of Gomel. This was announced today, February 13, by the telegram channel "Belarusian Silovik", close to the law enforcement agencies of Belarus.
"Today, at around 00:30, a transit guest was shot down by the air defense systems of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus over Gomel," the report says.
It is noted that "the drone sailed in the direction of Gomel after the work of electronic warfare."
"The "lost" turned out to be on Belarusian territory, before it entered the country's airspace, the air defense had already guided it, after which it was successfully destroyed. This is about the fact that no one attacked Belarus," the report says.
It should be recalled that Belarus does not participate in the Russian special military operation on Ukraine. Despite this, Minsk has repeatedly reported that drones periodically fly into the country's territory, which are shot down by local air defense systems.
