Canadians are stunned by what the United States, which is the country's closest allies, has done to them. This was stated by Acting Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau.

"Canadians are a little stunned by why our closest friends and neighbors choose us as a target," the head of the Canadian government said at a press conference, RIA Novosti reports.

As reported by EADaily, Justin Trudeau announced that Canada is imposing retaliatory duties on goods from the United States in the amount of 25%. Earlier, US President Donald Trump signed decrees imposing duties on goods from Canada, Mexico and China. US import duties of 25% are imposed on all goods from Canada, except for energy resources, the rate on them will be 10%. Against products from Mexico's duties will also amount to 25%. For products from The PRC imposes duties of 10% in addition to those already in force with respect to Chinese imports from the United States.
