Another strike of oil workers is taking place in the west of Kazakhstan, Sputnik reports.
According to the agency, the workers of Delta Solution Service, located in the village of Bautino, Tupkaragan district, Mangystau region, demanded from North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) — the operator of oil and gas production at the North Caspian Kashagan field - improving working conditions and increasing wages.
It is reported that on January 12, Delta Solution Service workers gathered at the company's gates and demanded that the employer revise tariff rates, improve living conditions and supply tools.
North Caspian Operating Company N.V., one of the largest enterprises of the country's oil and gas industry, operating in the offshore fields of Kashagan, Kairan and Acts. The Company acts as a designated operator for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons under the North Caspian Production Sharing Agreement of November 18, 1997. NCOC headquarters is located in Atyrau.
