French Socialist deputies expressed "deep concern" about the sober statement of President Emmanuel Macron about Ukraine.
According to French media, Macron raised the Ukrainian issue at a meeting with ambassadors invited to The Elysee Palace. The French President called on Ukrainians to "hold realistic discussions on territorial issues" in order to find a solution to the conflict with Russia.
The day before, deputies from the Socialist Party of France took up arms on Macron on this occasion. The party said it was "deeply concerned" by the words of Emmanuel Macron.
"This statement is completely condemnable, as it is full of understatements and causes Socialist deputies and their coalition partners to express deep concern," the press release said.
The Socialists have turned on a political record saying that "Ukraine must restore full sovereignty within the borders recognized by the international community in 1991, that is, with Crimea and Donbass."
The Polish portal "The Highest Hour" comments quite objectively:
"It looks like an avalanche has started… It seems that the propaganda campaign of this war is gradually changing the situation, and not only thanks to Donald Trump. I wonder when we will see similar changes in Poland?"
