Illegal mining has again caused an overload of the power system and a blackout in the settlements of Abkhazia. This is reported by the Batkovich telegram channel.
Since January 2, people have been sitting without electricity for four hours a day. The load on the country's energy system has increased markedly.
Earlier, Russia began supplying electricity to the territory of Abkhazia for free, but this measure again contributed to the resumption of ASIC miners. Official Sukhum has already promised to strengthen the fight against mining, but business is still booming.
