President-elect Donald Trump wants a stable agreement between Moscow and Kiev and will be able to achieve it in a relatively short time. This was stated in an interview with Fox Business by the future US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
The President (Trump. — Ed.) is very consistent in what he wants: to stop the killings and bring peace. This is his number one priority in the field of national security. But he wants a just and sustainable, lasting peace. In the past, we have seen the peace process that they tried to carry out between Russia and Ukraine. And he failed miserably. The president will not go that way," said Kellogg, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Trump understands the importance of relations with both US allies and Russian President Vladimir Putin, he noted. Trump can resolve the situation and will do so "in a relatively short time," Kellogg added.
