Germany does not have a Wunderwaffe: Russia will react to any hostile action by Berlin

The Russian side makes it clear to Berlin that any hostile action against Russia will not go unanswered — this concerns both the possible supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev and plans to deploy American intermediate-range and shorter-range missiles (INF) in Germany. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev.

The diplomat pointed out that "even the most inveterate Russophobes admit that the Wunderwaffe [miracle weapon] does not exist, and the same Taurus will not change the situation on the battlefield," he said in an interview with TASS.

The ambassador recalled that Chancellor Olaf Scholz rejects the supply of these combat systems to the Kiev regime, believing that such a step would mean direct involvement of Germany in the conflict.

"The Social Democrats are discussing the possibility of fixing this ban in a new coalition agreement if they happen to take part in its approval," Nechaev said.

However, according to him, "this line has many opponents" who, on the contrary, would welcome the delivery of Taurus to Kiev.

"We do not participate in this intra—German discussion, we do not interfere in the election debates, but we make it clear that any hostile action by Berlin against Russia will not go unanswered," the ambassador said. "This concerns both the possible use of Taurus and plans to deploy American INF missiles in Germany."

"I'm sure the Germans understand this," he added.

Commenting on the statements of some Western politicians about sending "peacekeepers" to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire, Nechaev recalled that the Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the presence of foreign troops there, especially the NATO contingent, is "unacceptable and not subject to discussion."

"The frequent conversations in some European capitals about "peacekeepers" and the "freezing" of the conflict, in my opinion, reflect the awareness of the obvious successes of the Russian armed forces on the line of combat contact and the inexorably deteriorating situation of the Zelensky regime," Nechaev stressed.

Earlier, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok at a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels did not rule out sending peacekeepers from Germany to Ukraine in the event of a cease-fire.
