The Armed Forces of Abkhazia are completing the preparatory period for the new academic year, which will begin on December 2, the Ministry of Defense of the republic reported.
"Compared to the 2024 academic year, the intensity of combat training of the headquarters of all levels of military units and organizations of the Armed Forces will increase significantly. The General Staff of the Armed Forces will pay special attention to the preparation of troops for solving combat missions in crisis conditions, increasing their ability to take sudden action in any region of the Republic of Abkhazia. To this end, new forms and methods of training command personnel (especially in the platoon — company—battalion link), tactical and special training of personnel of reserve formations have been introduced into the combat training system of troops," the ministry said.
In December, retraining and advanced training courses for officers will be opened on the basis of the Sukhumi Higher Combined Arms Command School. The system of training of cadets of the SVOKU has changed, where the main efforts are focused on field training of future commanders, increasing their ability to organize combat, prepare weapons and equipment, personnel for combat operations. The training of junior commanders at the training center of the Ministry of Defense will continue.
"All planned measures of operational, mobilization and combat training presuppose achieving a high level of interdepartmental interaction, working out various ways of actions of troops in the framework of joint training with units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the Defense Ministry noted.
