Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is currently lagging behind her opponent, Republican candidate Donald Trump, almost twice in terms of the number of electoral votes. The corresponding forecasts are published on the website of the Fox News channel.
According to calculations at 06.20 Moscow time on Wednesday, November 6, Kamala Harris is gaining 117 electoral votes, while Donald Trump has already received 205 votes.
Earlier in the day, the RealClearPolitics portal published a forecast according to which Trump is ahead of Harris in most swing states. So, according to the portal, the former head of the White House is ahead of the current vice president in Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Harris, in turn, leads in Wisconsin and Michigan.
Also, according to calculations by the Associated Press, as of 04.01 GMT on Wednesday, November 6, Trump was ahead of Harris by more than two times in the number of electoral votes. At that time, the Republican managed to secure 95 votes, and his rival — only 35, Izvestia reminds.
