A new devastating hurricane is coming to Florida — Milton

Milton will hit the Gulf Coast of Florida by Wednesday, October 9, it may become the second serious hurricane in the state in the last two weeks. This is reported by Voice of America❶ with reference to the US National Hurricane Center.

The day before, forecasters upgraded the category of Hurricane Milton from a tropical storm to the 4th dangerous category.

It is noted that the storm intensified to a major category 3 hurricane early in the morning, when the maximum wind speed reached 200 km/h. Then Milton quickly reached category 4 with a maximum wind speed of 240 km/h, the US National Hurricane Center reported.

According to forecasts, it will gain maximum category 5 strength with wind speeds of more than 250 km/h when it reaches the coast of Florida by the middle of the week. "Milton" may become the most destructive hurricane in the last few years in the state.

As EADaily reported on the eve, the number of victims of Hurricane Helen that hit the southeastern part of the USA has grown to at least 227 people, CNN reported.
