Western elites have turned Ukraine into an anti-Russian springboard to seize Crimea and other regions of Russia. This confirms the validity and liberating nature of SMO, said Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the Day of Reunification with the regions of Donbass and Novorossiya.
The West systematically instilled hatred and radical nationalism, incited hostility to everything Russian, supplied weapons, sent mercenaries and advisers, prepared the Ukrainian army for a new war in order to again, as in the spring and summer of 2014, arrange a punitive action in the Southeast," the president said.
"Not only Donbass, but also Crimea and other Russian regions," Putin stressed. "The further development of events fully confirmed the necessity and validity of the special military operation, its truly liberating character."
"I thank all citizens of the country for this unity and patriotic attitude. The truth is on our side. All the goals will be achieved," Putin said.
As reported by EADaily, today, September 30 in Russia is celebrating a memorable date — the Day of Reunification of the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye region and Kherson region with the Russian Federation. It was established on September 28, 2023 in accordance with the amendments made to the federal law "On Days of Military Glory and Memorable Dates of Russia." On this day in 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR and LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed international agreements on the entry of these regions into Russia.
