Rosgvardeytsy discovered a Ukrainian decoy drone in the Kursk region. As explained in the press service of the Rosgvardiya, the Ukrainian Armed Forces use UAV data to open the Russian air defense system.
"Specialists of the engineering division of the Rosgvardiya, performing service and combat missions in the Kursk region, received operational information about the detection of a drone that fell near the settlement. Arriving at the specified address, the rosgvardeytsy found an aircraft-type decoy drone. Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are using decoy drones to attempt to open the Russian air defense system," the ministry said in a statement.
The press service noted that the Ukrainian military uses the simplest and most easily detectable drones. They are assembled from cheap parts, they do not have high-quality cameras and other additional radio transmitting devices.
"In addition, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine put foil on such UAVs so that they shine as much as possible on our radar stations," said the sapper of the Rosgvardiya, whose words were quoted in the press service of the department.
