Protest actions took place in Georgian cities after the statements of the founder of the Georgian Dream party Bidzina Ivanishvili about the need to apologize to the residents of South Ossetia for the 2008 military conflict. This is reported by the TV company "Mtavari Archi".

The organizer of the action was the youth movement "Dafion". The participants of the demonstration came out with the slogan "No to the Kremlin dictatorship."

Demonstrations were held in Tbilisi in front of the parliament building, as well as in Kutaisi. One of the participants of the Dafion movement said that the Georgian people are being forced to apologize for "the war that we did not start."

On September 14, Ivanishvili said during an election rally in Gori that Georgia would find the strength to apologize for the war with South Ossetia in 2008. According to him, this will happen after the victory of the ruling Georgian Dream party in the parliamentary elections in October.
