The Main Military Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case on discrediting the Armed Forces against the war correspondent of VGTRK Alexander Sladkov. This was announced by the reporter himself in the telegram channel.

According to him, he was "not allowed to eat" by the management.

"The Main Military Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case against me for discrediting the Armed Forces. If it weren't for Oleg Dobrodeev and the VGTRK team, if it weren't for the presidential administration, it would have been hard for me personally," he wrote and added that.

Sladkov recalled the arrests of high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Defense in recent months in cases of corruption, and what bloggers wrote about it..

"We should have left alone the topic of the failure to provide for the army (which even now is being given up in the lack of many necessary things), and suddenly today it turns out for the rest of society: it is those people in uniform who were very dissatisfied with the bloggers who themselves turned out to be far from angels. I'm telling you, half the old minister's team is under investigation for theft. They taught us how to act morally and statesmanlike, and they turned out to be like that. And they scolded critical bloggers even despite the fact that they were hosted by the president four times and at these receptions bloggers spoke harshly on the topic of big problems in the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation," writes Sladkov.

Under the new Minister of Defense, Sladkov notes, the blogger and his colleagues "breathed freely," their "capabilities have seriously increased."

The article on discrediting the army (280.3 of the Criminal Code) provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for seven years. By the beginning of 2024 in Russia opened 81 cases under this article, investigators sent 44 cases to the court, 45 persons became their defendants.
