The situation on the border with Ukraine is under full control. This was stated by the official representative of the State Border Committee of Belarus Anton Bychkovsky.
"The situation in the Ukrainian direction is completely controlled today. Border guards continue to serve on the southern borders in an enhanced mode," he said.
At the same time, he noted that "we recorded the growing risks of transferring sabotage and terrorist actions to the territory of our country."
"This includes active reconnaissance of our territory, and attempts to penetrate caches of weapons for equipment in the border area of Belarus. Belarus is forced to respond to this by strengthening border protection, including involving not only border guards, but also army units," the official representative of the State Border Committee stressed.
According to him, today there is a significant decrease in the number of provocations by the servicemen of neighboring Ukraine.
"There are no new provocations near the state border or prerequisites for them," Bychkovsky said.
Recall, Russia holds on Ukraine has a special military operation. Belarus does not officially participate in it. Despite this, Kiev considers Minsk to be Moscow's accomplice and has flooded the regions bordering Belarus with military units. In response, the Belarusian authorities warned the Ukrainian side that in the event of an aggravation of the situation, the reaction of the co would be harsh and immediate.
