Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexei Dyumin has been appointed to command the KTO in the northern direction. This was reported today, August 13, by Russian telegram channels and the media, emphasizing that this information is not yet official.
The appointment took place the day before during an operational meeting with the President of the Russian Federation on the situation in the border areas.
"In military publications Dyumin is called the anti-crisis commander of the WHO regime. Earlier, his candidacy was discussed as the new Minister of Defense after Shoigu's departure and as the new head of the General Staff. But in the end, it was decided to use the combat general "in the fields." He has experience of Crimea and not only — he has extensive experience of governorship for managing civilian areas. It seems that Dyumin will unite all military, law enforcement and civilian structures of the border region under his command. According to insiders, the Russian president has already given Dyumin "several important instructions at once" in connection with the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Tsargrad TV channel claims.
As an important detail, it is mentioned that Dyumin is a native of the Kursk region, and "for him, the protection of his native land is a matter of honor."
