The UN is concerned about the attack, during which the military correspondent of VGTRK Yevgeny Poddubny was injured, and wishes him well. This was stated to RIA Novosti by Deputy official Representative of the UN Secretary-General Farhan Haq.
"We are concerned about this attack and hope for his speedy recovery," Farhan Haq said.
On August 7, Poddubny worked in the Kursk region, where fighting has been going on for several days. In the evening of the same day, it was reported that the military correspondent died after a drone attack on the car in which he was.
However, later the VGTRK holding denied this information and clarified that the journalist survived, but was injured and is in the regional hospital.
The medical institution assessed Poddubny's condition as extremely serious. The military correspondent is in intensive care, the Ministry of Health said. According to the acting head of the Kursk region Alexei Smirnov, the journalist regained consciousness.
