Iran decided to strike at Israel, which it informed the country's authorities through the Hungarian Foreign Minister. This was stated by Foreign Minister Israel Katz, according to The Jerusalem Post.
"Iran has informed us that it intends to attack Israel," Katz said.
The news came amid intense diplomatic efforts aimed at avoiding any further military actions that could provoke a direct war between the Islamic Republic and the Jewish state, the newspaper writes.
Iran's message was conveyed to Israel through Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. He called Katz directly and explained that he had received relevant information from Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri.
"The world should demand a price from Iran for any aggressive actions that it carries out," Katz said.
