The head office of Societe Generale previously announced the termination of work in Russia. The share of the financial institution in Rosbank went to Vladimir Potanin's Interros company. About the amount Societe Generale received from the sale of the asset, today, August 1, RIA Novosti reports.
We are talking about 301 million euros. The deal was executed at the end of July, as follows from the quarterly report of the financial group.
"At the end of July 2024, Societe Generale received 301 million euros as part of the sale of the last assets in Russia related to its former presence in the country through Rosbank. These at—risk liabilities, which were valued at zero or reserved in the group's accounts, were reimbursed in accordance with the current rules and after approval by various competent regulatory authorities," the report says.
EADaily reminds that back in December 2023, Vladimir Putin gave the go-ahead for Rosbank to acquire shares of VTB, Rosneft, Gazprom, and Norilsk Nickel owned by Societe Generale.
