United States hampers political settlement of the situation in the east of Ukraine, says Russia’s Permanent Representative to OSCE Alexander Lukashevich.
He is sure that EU representatives to OSCE understand that implementation of the measures set in the Minsk Agreements paves the way towards normalization of the situation in the country.
“Besides, they have instruments to make Ukraine follow that path. However, U.S. strongly opposes this process through administration and their representatives,” Izvestia quotes Lukashevich as saying.
According to Lukashevich, OSCE presence in the conflict zone in Ukraine has a positive effect, as it prevents Ukraine from acting on a larger scale.
Earlier, Russia’s PR to OSCE said Ukraine’s law on reintegration of Donbass runs contrary to the measures set in the Minsk Agreements. He believes that a Normandy Four summit on Ukraine is impossible without Russia.
