United States does not need military successes or economic welfare of Ukraine, Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, told reporters on September 15.

As to the military aid of Washington, Patrushev thinks Ukraine should rely on it.

In his words, war in Ukraine gives the United States an opportunity to influence the policy of the EU countries. It confirms Europe’s dependence on US when making decisions of international importance. Washington uses sanctions to break down Russia that wages independent domestic and foreign policy, the Secretary of the Security Council said.

“The goal of Washington’s policy is to break the unity of the Russian and Ukrainian peoples and split the peoples living in Ukraine by stirring up nationalist sentiments,” Patrushev said.
