Today, on March 19, Russia’s Emergency Ministry announced that an IL-76 plane with humanitarian aid was sent to Latakia, Syria.
The plane with 20.5 tons of sugar, dairy, meat and fish products, and other essential goods flied for Latakia from the Ramenskoe Airport near Moscow, the ministry said in a statement.
“The return flight from Latakia will take to Moscow some 50 Russian and CIS nationals who decided to leave the conflict zone," the ministry said.
