Canada will introduce new sanctions against Russia, Canadian Minister of International Trade Edward Fast announced at a briefing in Kyiv on January 26.
According to him, new sanctions are being prepared "in connection with the tragedy in Mariupol." He mentioned Canada would do this in cooperation with its allies - the USA and the EU. “The Government of Canada is deeply committed to working with the people of Ukraine to help implement important economic and democratic reforms, and to be strong partners in building peace and prosperity,” said Edward Fast.
