The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, demanded that his subordinates stop lying in their reports to the command. He stated this after a meeting he held the day before with the commanders of the units fighting in the Pokrovsky direction.
"Another trip to the hot sector of the front ... once again emphasized to the commanders of all levels the inadmissibility of distorting and concealing information about the real situation in the reports. Dishonesty has too high a price — the lives of our soldiers," writes Syrsky in his telegram channel.
This warning from the commander-in-chief is quite revealing, the Strana newspaper notes.
"Usually, commenting on the situation in other areas, he did not mention the commanders' lies," the publication emphasizes.
The newspaper believes that Syrsky thus indirectly confirmed the complexity of the situation in the Pokrovsky direction.
As EADaily reported, there is a tense situation in the Pokrovsky direction, Russian units have already penetrated into Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) itself, street battles are taking place in the city. This was stated in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Putin visited one of the control points of the joint group of forces, held a meeting with the participation of Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and the commanders of the groups involved in SMO.
