To the Director of the Osocor Residence recreation complex in Kiev after the concert of Andrei Danilko, who performs in the image of Verka Serduchka, was fined. This is stated in the decision of the Boryspil court of the Kiev region.
It is specified that the fine was imposed under the article of the Ukrainian Administrative Code on "violation of the procedure for organizing and holding a public event."
"Russian—language music was played during the concert, the Ukrainian singer performed about two songs in Russian," the court documents say.
The director of the complex was fined UAH 425, and he is also obliged to pay UAH 605 of the court fee, only about $ 25 at the current exchange rate.
Danilko himself did not comment on that concert in any way, while his PR director explained that the artist does not sing in Russian, but uses the "traditional Poltava surjik".
As EADaily reported, after Danilko's speech in Kiev on June 13, language Ombudsman Taras Kremen wrote on his social network page that "Russian-language songs have no place in the Ukrainian capital." He also claimed that there were signs of a "gross violation" in Serduchka's speech. He stressed that the commissioners had decided to launch "state control measures" against Danilko, and promised that "there will be responsibility."
Later, he changed his mind, stating that the law does not prohibit performing Russian-language songs created by Ukrainian citizens.
At the same time on Ukraine has repeatedly called on Danilko to "self-Ukrainization." Former member of "What? Where? When?", now the Ukrainian producer Igor Kondratyuk demanded to "multiply by zero" his work, since the artist "has no brains."
