Conflict on Ukraine should not end in capitulation to Russia. This was announced today, July 14, by French President Emmanuel Macron at a joint press conference with the leaders of Germany, Britain and Zelensky on the occasion of the National Holiday in Paris.
"Those who believe that this war will stop at the borders of Ukraine if we give in or try to make concessions to the aggressor are mistaken. The history of our continent has taught us the price of surrender. We will not make this mistake again," Macron promised with pathos.
He also considered unacceptable any attempts to negotiate with Russia "at the expense of Ukraine's interests," calling for continued assistance to the Kiev regime.
In this regard, it remains to recall that during the Second World War, the regular French army fought against Germany for only 44 days (from May 10 to June 22, 1940), after which the French government signed the surrender.
