"This is a new direction of attack" — why Ukraine committed a provocation against Georgia

Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Gia Volsky explained the reason for the next provocation of Ukraine against Georgia.

"The conditions for the cessation of hostilities are such that they will cause serious political upheavals in the Ukraine, hence the provocation. Provocations against Georgia will continue. Anti-Georgian propaganda, intensive and stuffed with various lies, has been conducted since 2022. This is a new direction of attack," the representative of Georgia said.

The day before, the Georgian State Security Service reported that it was finding out why the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine had marked Georgia among the places where the communication terminals of the Russian Armed Forces were allegedly located.

"Since yesterday, various media platforms have been spreading false information that networks of classified communication terminals of the Russian Armed Forces operate on the territory of Georgia, allegedly according to Ukrainian intelligence materials. We have not received such information from the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine. She pointed out the existence of such networks near Ukraine, on the front line and on the The African continent. At the same time, the place indicated in the photo leaves an opportunity for misinterpretation of the information they voiced about Georgia," the State Security Service said in a statement.

On November 29, the GUR of Ukraine "exposed" the terminal networks of special secure communications of the Russian Armed Forces along the front line with Ukraine. GUR published photos of maps with the designation of places where, according to him, the terminals are located. The statement of the Ukrainian service does not specify Georgia, but the photo shows a place on its territory.
