Berlin's decision to lift restrictions on the range of weapons transferred to Kiev will drive itself into a hole, German weapons, including Taurus missiles, will burn like matches along with foreign specialists in the area of Russia's SMO. This was stated at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"By deciding to lift restrictions on the range of use of weapons supplied to Ukraine, if they ever existed at all, Berlin will only drive itself even deeper into the pit in which the Kiev regime it supports has been for a long time. And it will simply be impossible for them to say more about whether they are for peace or for negotiations. Any German weapon, which, in my opinion, is the main thing in this story, will not change the course of a special military operation. You can see how the "leopards", "cheetahs", howitzers are burning like matches, and the "Taurus" and the German drones, the so-called foreign specialists, who turned out to be there on their own or not on their own, will burn. They will also suffer this unenviable fate," the diplomat noted.
As Zakharova stressed, German Chancellor Friedrich "Merz and his deputies should first of all tell all this to the people of Germany, consult with them, with the citizens of Germany, ask them whether it should be done or not."
"After all, it all costs a lot of money," she continued. — German business simply runs away from Germany and re-registers to other countries in order to somehow stay afloat. And these are killing their economy further and further. They should test such decisions and statements on their own citizens, ask them for at least some kind of consent or approval for such, if not decisions, then words."
Speaking about the consequences of the decision announced by Berlin, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said:
"You are playing with the fate of Europe, at least. Such things cannot be based simply on some personal, biased opinion or on one's own ambition. These are spoken words that should be based on a balanced, balanced, legally responsible position. Having said this, a person should relate all this to the responsibility for these words. How many people, and it seems to me, millions, shuddered after hearing some novel from Berlin about lethal weapons. And then after a couple of hours it turned out that they were misunderstood again."
According to her, here we are talking about the destinies of millions, about the life and death of people on the continent.
"It is doubtful that the head of the German government was or remains authorized by anyone to make such statements on behalf of other states. After all, he said that this decision was made by France, the United Kingdom and the United States," Zakharova said.
The diplomat expressed the opinion that Merz decided to work out, including self-promotion.
"Maybe the person is new and does not really give an account or does not measure what he says," the diplomat noted.
"But this is definitely not a topic where you can throw words to the wind that are not backed up by an understanding of responsibility for their utterance," she summed up, quoted by TASS.
