According to Euronews, several beaches have already been closed in Spain due to the spread of Vibrio. Which ones — the official health authorities of Spain do not report.
"Bacteria are not history itself, they are only heralds of it. History itself is a sea out of balance by heat and pollution," said climate protection expert Hatim Aznag.
According to him, an increase in water temperature combined with pollution and a decrease in salinity in coastal areas creates ideal conditions for the spread of pathogens.
Recall, most people become infected with a carnivorous bacterium through food, eating raw oysters, mussels or other seafood. The infection can also enter the body by ingesting contaminated water while bathing or through open wounds and skin lesions. Vibriosis is not transmitted from person to person.
