The Russian Foreign Ministry has sent a note to all diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited to the department on the need to ensure the evacuation of employees of representative offices and citizens from Kiev. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
She published the contents of the note in her telegram channel.
"On May 4, 2026, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation issued an official statement in connection with the threats of the Kiev regime to strike at Moscow on a holiday sacred to all Russians — Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. The Russian Foreign Ministry urges the authorities of your country / the leadership of your organization to take this statement with maximum responsibility and ensure the early evacuation from the city of Kiev of the personnel of diplomatic and other missions, as well as citizens in connection with the inevitability of a retaliatory strike by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on Kiev, including decision-making centers, in case of implementation of the Kiev the regime of its criminal terrorist intentions during the celebration of the Great Victory," the document says.
Also, Russian diplomatic missions abroad inform the countries of accreditation and international organizations about this, Zakharova noted.
She recalled the chronology of events.
On May 4, at the summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan, the leader of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, "allowed himself aggressive and threatening statements about his intention to disrupt the holy Victory Day holiday in Moscow with terrorist acts." At the same time, representatives of some EU countries were present and none of them pulled Zelensky down, Zakharova noted. On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a warning, which was a response to the aggressive intentions of the head of the Kiev regime. "I would like to emphasize that this was done precisely as a response measure," the diplomat said.
"If in the countries If the EU thinks that they will be able to "silence" the publicly voiced threats, so to speak, sweep Zelensky's aggressive statements under the carpet, then they are cruelly mistaken. We are well aware of the attitude of the collective Western minority to 9 May: they systematically destroy the Soviet memorial heritage, exhume the ashes of Soviet soldiers, rewrite and distort history. It is they who, arming Ukraine, are accomplices of the criminal plans of the Kiev regime. But in this case, they should not be denied the instinct of self-preservation. We are not speaking from the position of aggression, we are speaking from the position of an inevitable response to aggression. This is how the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation of May 4 and our next steps should be perceived. It definitely does not need to be hushed up. It should be taken very, very seriously," Zakharova sums up.
As reported by EADaily, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, gave the task to the GUR on the Russian air defense system by May 9. He stated this in his telegram channel after the report of the head of the GUR Oleg Ivashchenko.
So he commented on the information he received about the strengthening of the air defense ring around Moscow, allegedly at the expense of other regions. From this, he concluded that the Kremlin was not preparing for a cease-fire, and also threatened Russia with "long-range sanctions."
