The British government considers it possible to transfer frozen Russian assets in the amount of 8 billion pounds sterling ($ 10.6 billion) at its disposal to assist Kiev, The Times reports.
"Ministers are ready to transfer 8 billion pounds sterling from Russian assets frozen in the UK to support Ukraine," the statement said.
London is trying to conclude a deal with the European Union and other countries that would allow allocating up to 100 billion pounds ($ 133 billion) for Ukraine's military needs, which "will cover more than two-thirds of Ukraine's financial needs over the next two years to continue the conflict or finance reconstruction if a peace agreement is reached," the newspaper writes..
