There is a catastrophic shortage of infantry in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in some battalions there is almost none. This was stated on the air of the TV channel "Novini Life" by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the faction "Slega Naroda" Ruslan Gorbenko.

"There are almost no infantry in some battalions: out of 120 soldiers, only 7 are infantrymen, the rest are commanders or signallers," Gorbenko said.

He complained that sometimes there are 13 commanders per soldier — this leads to a situation where the battalions are not combat-ready.

"These ineffective commanders should be demoted, and some should be imprisoned altogether," the deputy said.

In his opinion, the breakthrough in the Dobropolsky direction occurred due to the fact that the commander did not withdraw troops to the frontier. And so far no one has been held responsible for this, Gorbenko added.

As EADaily reported, the Russian Armed Forces launched a combined strike at the temporary deployment point of the 67th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnoarmeysky (Pokrovsky) direction. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It was noted that the strike was carried out by Iskander and Su-34 fighters in the Vodolazhsky area.
