South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun asked his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov to protect the interests of South Korean companies maintaining a presence in Russia.

The head of Seoul diplomacy spoke about the views of his government on the problem of the Korean peninsula. He stated that the Republic of Korea seeks peace and stability through confidence-building and reducing tensions.
At the same time, Cho Hyun called on Moscow to stop military cooperation with the DPRK. Lavrov objected to this that Moscow itself would determine with whom to cooperate. Our minister pointed out "the provocative nature of the military activity directed against the DPRK by the United States and its Asian allies."
