Daria Karpin, the wife of the head coach of the Russian national football team and Dynamo Moscow, Valery Karpin, was unpleasantly surprised to meet fashion historian Alexander Vasiliev in real life. She told about the "disappointment of the day" in a video on her social network page.
According to Karpina, the meeting with the former movie star took place near one of the shops in Monaco. Daria and her daughter Anita suddenly heard Russian, and the voice was familiar.
"I look up — and this is Alexander Vasiliev," Karpin noted.
He was saying something about the store to a group of women. The woman recognized Vasiliev, smiled happily at him and nodded. The fashion historian's reaction was immediate.
"He said, 'Of course, I am pleased that you have recognized me. But this is a private excursion, and you need to pay first," said Vasiliev.
The woman noted that she was even confused, without answering anything, she and her daughter turned around and left.
"There was a sediment — like some homeless people were driven away from the entrance," Karpin concluded.
As reported by EADaily, Vasiliev left Russia after the start of a special military operation. For the last three years, he has been trying to earn money, including through lectures and excursions with small groups of women.
In a recent interview, he said that he cherishes the dream of returning to Russian television.
