The number of the Russian army conducting combat operations on Ukraine, reached 695 thousand people. This was stated at a meeting with journalists by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.

"Plus Kursk, Belgorod directions — where they are opposite Kharkov. There are about 52 thousand more in the Sumy direction," Zelensky added, quoted by the Strana newspaper.

At the same time, he claims that the Russian Armed Forces have advanced only 200 meters in Sumy region, noting that "this is a big problem for Russians." According to him, it turns out that if the Russian Armed Forces have no success in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, US President Donald Trump will quickly impose anti-Russian sanctions.

"They want to sell success in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Because if there is no corresponding success, Trump will rather put pressure on them with sanctions," Zelensky said.

As EADaily reported, on the eve Zelensky reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had thwarted the "crazy plans" of the Russian Armed Forces in Sumy region.
