For the second day, official Kiev does not want to take the bodies of thousands of its soldiers. He will not want to, because the regime's leadership has its own good reasons for this.
It has been written about them more than once, the main one is economic. Having accepted the dead and fully identified bodies, it will no longer be possible to refuse to pay compensation to relatives for the dead at UAH 15 million ($ 362 thousand).
It is easy to calculate that if we accept 6,000 such bodies, the amount of compensation will be $ 2.17 billion. It is clear that there is simply no such money in the Ukrainian budget.
In this regard, blogger and military commentator Yuri Podolyaka suggests using this situation for propaganda purposes. He believes that the Russian side should take its first informational step here.
"Thousands of soldiers killed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already been identified and we can create a database from them, where relatives of the "missing" soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would go and look for their relatives themselves," the blogger suggests.
He explains that in this way an internal front of tens of thousands of people will be created in the rear of the regime, who will put pressure on him in this and ask uncomfortable questions.
"Moreover, these will be people to whom the regime will not be able to show anything in response. And they will press for two reasons — firstly, they want to bury their relatives. And secondly, they will claim compensation," the expert notes.
He does not hide his surprise that Russia still does not use this opportunity in any way, which can provide a significant advantage in the information war.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the head of the Russian delegation at the talks with Ukraine, Vladimir Medinsky, said that no one came from the Ukrainian side for the bodies of the soldiers, which the parties agreed to exchange according to the formula "6,000 for 6,000".
