For the first time, the European Union imposed sanctions against German citizens — journalist Alina Lipp and writer Thomas Rapper were included in the 17th package of restrictions against Russia. The reaction of the "distributors of Russian propaganda" carrying out "destabilizing activities" is cited by the Berliner Zeitung newspaper.
"For the first time The EU prohibits its own citizens from entering Europe. Freedom of speech in a "free, democratic Europe" is finally dead," Alina Lipp wrote on social networks.
