The foreign ministers of the G7 countries condemned the official Minsk's support for Russia's actions on Ukraine. This is stated in a statement following a two-day meeting in Italy, published on November 26.

In addition to condemning Russia's support, the ministers expressed "unwavering concern about the regime's ongoing repression of independent media, civil society, the political opposition and citizens peacefully expressing their views."

"We also condemn the ill—treatment of political prisoners and demand their immediate and unconditional release," the statement said.

The G7 is an informal association of Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, France, Japan and the USA. Summits of the heads of state of the G7 countries are held annually. The decisions of the "seven" have no official force. The foreign ministers of the G7 countries held a meeting in the Italian city of Fiuggi on November 25-26.
